Family: Betulaceae.
Alnus rugosa.
English: Green alder; Mountain alder; Speckled alder; Hazel alder.
General: hot swellings, ulcers, inflammations, intermittent fevers, bleeding, hemostatic, astringent, febrifuge.
Skin: swelling, pimples, heavily bleeding wounds.
Eyes: sore eyes.
Abdomen: emetic, rectal application for piles.
Mouth: ulcers.
Respiratory: inflammation of tonsils, haemorrhage of lungs, diphtheria.
Urinary: diuretic.
Female: repels milk when applied to the breast.
Limbs: sprains, bruises, backache.
Head: headache.
