Stinging nettle.
Family: urticaceae.
General: ague, intermittent fever, general cerebral and portal congestion, anti-haemorrhagic.
Respiratory: pleurisy, inflammation of the lungs, whooping cough, haemorrhage from the lungs.
Abdomen: diarrhoea, dysentery, bowel affections, bowel complaints of children, bleeding from the stomach, laxative, antihelminthic.
Liver: Jaudice, portal congestion.
Urinary: diuretic, incontinence of urine, stoppage of urine, nephritis, gravel, expels stone.
Nervous: palsies, apoplexy.
Glands: goitre.
Skin: old sores, ulcers.
Scalp: stimulates hair growth.
