Family: Ulmaceae.
Ulmus nigra.
English: White elm;Slippery elm.
General: astringent, scurvy, promotes suppuration, allays inflammation, fever, anti-syphilitic, ruptures.
Skin: burns; eruptions, herpetic; ulcers, tumours, swellings, shot wounds, chilblains, inveterate sores, chronic dermatitis; inflammatory infections.
Abdomen: purgative, bowel complaints, diarrhoea, dysentery, cholera infantum, sour stomach and eructations, piles, emetic, cramps.
Urinary: diuretic; incipient dropsies, urinary complaints.
Respiratory: sore throat, cold, cough, bleeding from the lungs.
Female: labor difficulties.
