1. Data controller

J.C. Scholten, Servaasbolwerk 13, 2512 NK Utrecht, the Netherlands, is the data controller for personal data processed through qjure.com. You can reach us at mail@qjure.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address, name and display name when you register, and your membership status.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. We never see or store your card or bank details. We keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription so we can manage your membership.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form.
  • Newsletter: your email address and subscription status, if you subscribe.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.

3. Purpose

Your data is used to: manage your account and membership, provide access to member-only content, send service emails (confirmations, reminders), and keep the site secure. With your consent, we also use it to send newsletters, count visits anonymously and remember your preferences (see Cookies below).

4. Legal basis

We process personal data based on: contract performance (your account and membership), legitimate interest (account administration, service emails and security), and consent (newsletters, analytics and stored preferences). You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.

5. Service providers

We use these providers to run Qjure. They process personal data only on our instructions:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in (servers in Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Vercel: website hosting and anonymous visit statistics
  • Stripe: payments
  • Mailrelay: account, membership and newsletter emails

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained as long as your account exists. If your membership expires and you do not renew, your account is downgraded to visitor status but data is preserved.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email mail@qjure.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
