Ceasalpinoideaeais one of the three subfamilies of
Fabaceae, together with
Mimosoideae and
Faboideae. Ceasalpinoideae has a position between
Mimosoideae and
Faboideae. The flowers are sometimes radial, sometimes zygomorphic. The leaves are pinnately compound.

Faboideae will be treated separately. Ceasalpinoideae is placed in
