Members: Lateristachys, Lycopodiella, Palhinhaea, Pseudolycopodiella.
Plant theoryLycopodielloideae is split off from Lycopodiaceae in the new version of the Plant theory. This all needs confirmation as the remedies in it are not yet available in homeopathy. Lycopodielloideae is tentatively placed in Subphase 1.
BotanyFern; clubmoss; terrestrial; growing vertical.
Root: adventitious; emergence non-cortical.
Stem: protostelic; shoots flabellate, anisotomous, with dorsal strobiliferoius branches; growth axis vertical, radial; stele > stem diameter; shoots anisotomous, arising vertically.
Leaves: eligulate; sporophylls paleate, evergreen; sporangial stalk absent; sporophylls peltate, deciduous; mucilage duct in sporophyll; fertile shoots sessile.
Reproduction: gametophyte surface dwelling, germinate in the light, without paraphyses.
Sporangia: wall thick, lihgnified; non-sinuate; spore-bearing structures in terminal club-like structure.
Spore: homosporous.
Chromosome count: n3, 34
Spore: margins convex.
Bulbils absent.
