Taxonomy
Hyacinthaceae, Themidaceae and Aphyllanthaceae form a monophyletic clade within Asparagaceae in the Apg3 classification, together with other clades like Asparagaceae and Agavaceae.
In the Plant Theory Hyacinthaceae, Themidaceae and Aphyllanthaceae are treated as one Family Hyacinthaceae and placed in Subphase 3.

Introduction
