The situation is that of a man lying on a battlefield, his army has lost and the enemy comes to kill the survivors; in order to survive he feigns death. As a dead man he does not feel anything, even when they prod him with a bayonet he does not react. His stool runs out of his "dead" body. He has already death spots. It is the ultimate escape, death.
We see here a good combination of all closing Phases and Stages. It is Stage 17 and Phase 7. Hallucinations, addictions, cheating and telling lies are paramount. And they are still very timid. It all has to do with ending; it is used at the end of life, to escape from pain, the horrors of life.
They feel very weak and have the idea that have no will of their own. They have no will power or good judgement. Self-control is lost. They can be the ideal slave as they feel nothing.
The world feels like a dangerous place. All kinds of incidents can induce fear and fright.
They are oversensitive to almost anything. Almost anything can induce a disease but behind it is the fright. In order not to feel the pain they go into numbness, closing off all their senses.
In order not to feel all the horrors they shut down their senses. They do not feel anything anymore. Painful complaints become painless. Their mental awareness recedes too.
They try to see the best of the world even if it is horrible. They have a sensation of bodily well being, great happiness. He feels good, even when things are going badly. He needs nothing because everything is fine. They can even go into all kinds of imaginings: that they are big and strong, that all is very well, just the opposite of what’s going on. It is the only solution out of a situation that is bad but where they do not have any power.
