The name Hydrogen means: forms (genesis) water (hydro). Water is formed by a combination of Hydrogen and Oxygen. Hydrogen is a gas and does not exist on earth in its pure form. It is a basic element of the sun and the stars and it supplies energy to the sun through a nuclear fusion process, in which another element, Helium, is born. Hydrogen gas is extremely light and it is the only element that can escape the gravitational forces of the earth.
A proving of Hydrogen has been conducted by J. Sherr (1992).
