Case by Maarten van der Meer
A 68-year-old woman, she is present but not intrusive, with remarkable inner calm and reflection. She has always been tired, but now she is short of breath with exertion, fifteen years ago she had the same. Since the coronavirus vaccinations, walking and biking have been bad. “Should I be worried? Recovery takes longer and longer, up the stairs: and then she can't have a conversation for up to five minutes. She then also starts sweating incredibly, including her neck and hair. Efforts like vacuuming, cleaning the windows, and working in the garden she also notices that in her breath. Even with a conversation, a meeting, after that she is tired, and then needs some rest in the head. She likes to walk and bike, but that doesn't work out so fast anymore, the children start to hear her breathing. In the morning she has a cough, due to an irritation at the upper part of the sternum. She sleeps with the mouth open, and often the nose is closed, with lying down it starts, and after 0.30 it opens again. In the nose she frequently has inflammations, crusts, and fissures, it hurts. Her tongue is dry, with small cracks across the front This reflects the mucous membrane, dryness means prone to irritation, and cracks in front mean damage or energy weakness in the ENT area. She uses vitamins for resistance. The fatigue is already as soon as she gets out of bed until after coffee. Sleep is variable, it depends on the nose, sometimes she cannot fall asleep when she wakes up for a while.
Dreams are “bizarre”; often about getting lost, in the past she was often doomed that she had to swim after a boat, not getting across. A dream about a small child, who runs under a large all-terrain vehicle and disappears under it, she goes searching like crazy along the waterfront, but can't find it. She trained as an art therapist, which helped her a lot: it changed her and made her own choices. The artistic always attracted her, but in a farming family, it didn't fit. The therapeutic aspect brought her a lot. She worked in psychiatry for a while but wanted her practice. She experienced work as too big a barrier. Work: she didn't find what she liked, and did one thing after another. When things got hard, she got sick, having to meet all those demands in the world, the feeling of not being able to do it, the feeling of not being worth it. She puts as much pressure on herself as the outside world, it's been that way her whole existence. She is not working for money now, she has started practice, but not officially. She tried to take the step to go outside, show herself, and stand up for herself. It's been hard to make that step for a very long time. Now she is drawing, painting, and perceiving plants. She is highly sensitive, she has difficulty with contacts, getting going, and leaving home. Even as a child, she didn't understand social codes, hanging on to her mother's skirts, she was dreamy and whiny. In the past, she suffered a lot from fatigue. Fifteen years ago her parents died, and the children also just went out the door, then she collapsed.
Food, including apples, did bother her in the past. 'Choosing and thinking for yourself, being aware of self-direction.' This she recognizes and emphasizes when I explain the choice of medicine. In the past, she often had sinus complaints with headaches and bowel problems, undigested stools.
AnalysisSerie 5: artistic.
Silver series: sensitive, lungs. Serie 6: Lanthanide aspects, autonomy, being on her own, and working on her development
Gold series: something to do with allergy
Phase 6: tiredness, not being worth it
Stage 2: shy, not being able to make her own choices, not daring to go out, she is worried that “the kids can hear” that she has trouble breathing.
Stage 2 or 3: Insecure: should I be worried?
Analysis was largely driven by using Q-search with this general picture, the search term 'ascending' with the filters
Phase 2, and
Phase 6. Here Strophantus emerges, and we recognize the maternal bonding, and attachment of
Phase 2, therapeutic work she experiences as too big a threshold, she has yet to 'grow'.
Stage 2: compare with the keywords of
Calcium.
Prescription:
Strophanthus hispidus C200
Follow-upFour weeks her energy is more compact now, she is more with herself, and she comes across cheerful, and she gently takes initiative. 'It was interesting things, after two days I got the image in my mind of a baby, held upside down and it was getting taps on its buttocks to make it breathe, I saw it and realized: this is how it goes here (in this life), it gave a feeling of insecurity'. For the first two weeks, she has felt fine. She sleeps better, waking up at most once more and then quickly falling asleep again. No dreams. Now she gets all kinds ofinflammations, the cuticle of the right thumb (this started at lung point 1 of the lung meridian), aft in the mouth (she had it before too), pimples at the jawline, that for her has to do with being beautiful. From the thumb she could not sleep, so much throbbing pain, now there is a yellow spot with pus. She feels better but still has difficulty coming to action. Now she realize that the world is not so nice anymore, all that dirt, as a child she did not feel safe either, you had to keep your mouth shut as a child, that was the message, she was the smallest (here we see the theme of
Phase 2 and
Phase 6 more consciously). The profuse perspiration is the same. After climbing stairs there is faster recovery, fissures in the nose are unchanged. The tongue is now pale. She is slowly snapping up further, in terms of breath and energy. After two years she deteriorated rapidly after an emotional event, then recovered after Cistus canadensis. Information from 15 years prior: Weak SI joint. The lower back is always cold, pelvis and upper leg also. Waking up at 4 am, and then often soaking wet. She always seeks water and likes to walk along the canal. She has had a throat blockage for a very long time (
Silver series aspect). She let circumstances steer her very much, and influence her (
Phase 2), she tried to develop her individuality (
Gold series), and she was a person who was only there for others (
Phase 6). She was brought up with “serve,” first the other and then yourself, and she tried to develop individuality in that (
Gold series). She was very insecure and doubtful. She is agile and expressive. She was busy caring for her parents. 15 years back she had no results of Ammonium-muriaticum, Eupatorium-perfoliatum,
Indium-met, and
Cerium-oxalate.
