Case by Joelle Smaniotto-Gorton.
Boy, 10 years old, severe cerebral palsy.Orian’s birth was traumatic: he was born by an emergency Caesarian section. He did not breathe for 10 minutes. He underwent cooling therapy.
Orian is spastic quadriplegic, non-verbal but can now whisper yes and no. He is tube-fed via a Mic-key button, and communicates with a book. He occasionally has seizures.
Orian is a sensitive, handsome little boy who loves being entertained. He loves being with his mother and gets upset and vomits when his father is fighting with his mother. The father is abusive. Laughing can also make him vomit. He likes routine; the curtains have to be opened a certain way.
The grandmother was unwanted by her parents and given away to another family member, who did not really want her either and used to lock her in a closet while they were going to work. She wasn't allowed to go to school and spent years in a closet!
AnalysisFern: disability, loves routine.
Carbon series,
Series 2: severe disability; not toilet trained.
Phase 7: the father is abusive; epilepsy, convulsion; given away; locked in, as in a prison; abuse.
Stage 2: very sensitive, friendly.
Prescription: 3-442.17.02,
Hypolepis millefolium, paper remedy.
Follow up10 months ago, I decided to give him two doses of
Hypolepis millefolium alternating with
Barium carbonicum. Orian became calmer and could sit cross-legged unattended for 10 minutes. His hands were less spastic and he was able to pull a tissue out of the tissue box more easily. He could hold his head up better by himself.
I don't see Orian for 4 months and find that he is having more difficulties holding his head up by himself and he is more spastic. After another dose of
Hypolepis millefolium Orian is able to hold his head by himself and is more able to control his hands. No more seizures.
Previously Amniotic fluid,
Carbo vegetabilis,
Natrium sulphuricum,
Causticum, Agaricus, and
Barium carbonicum all helped.
