Adoxaceae

Taxonomy
Adoxaceae is the first diverging lineage in Dipsacales in the Apg3 classification. The most striking aspect is that Sambucus and Viburnum have been transferred from Caprifoliaceae into Adoxaceae.
In the Plant theory Diervillaceae is tentatively included in Adoxaceae. Adoxaceae is placed in Subphase 1 in the Dipsacales.
