Case by Jan Scholten.Man, 70, hiatus hernia.He has pain in his stomach region. It feels full and tight. He has a lot of hiccoughs, worse after eating and in the evening. It feels very uncomfortable. In general he feels tired, which is not much better after a good sleep.
He has a good marriage. He has worries about his children and grandchildren. Especially one son is giving worries, as he has severe ulcerative colitis.
There is a history that his father emigrated to South Africa when he was 18. He had to start there from scratch and build his own company. His parents had to stay in Germany, they did not have permission to leave Germany. He himself has taken over the company of father later in life. He was doing that well, together with a colleague. What helped him in the business is that he is very orderly and precise. He always had very good contact with his clients as he was always very honest and correct, delivering good products.
