Selenicereus grandiflorus

Caryophylliidae, Portulacales, Cactaceae.
Method: recognizing clade, phase in the 'matrix' or the picture that has been sketched.
Woman of 57 years old, slim, lively, eyes that sparkle regularly, cheerfulness alternating with a reserved calmness, a touch of tiredness. The voice is analogous to this, lively, or diminishing in timbre and volume, depending on what she is telling at that moment. Twenty years ago she had a lot of ear and sinus complaints, she also had no grip on her feelings, and no resignation with her life, all this passed after Rosmarinus. This time, she first extensively and tastefully talked about the children and cozy matters, before coming to the point. Now she comes for intestinal problems that she has had for a few months. The stool smells a lot and is either thick or soft. A lot of gas formation, and slight pain in the lower abdomen. Often trouble after eating meat. But it persists. She doubts whether she should go through the ‘medical mill’ after all, but she doesn't feel like it. Without coffee, there is less trouble in the stomach. The time it started was busy. At home, a lot was going on that year. A lot of tension: her husband came home without work, which was burdensome. ‘You can't talk everything out’, while she tells this, her arms cross and her vest closes. The non-verbal and also the intonation indicate that this is the sticking point around which everything revolves. He is not such an easy person, everything was immediately different in the house, as if a handful of sand had gotten into the gears. The daughter also had problems, she sympathizes a lot with her. It is completely her thing to pull the strings, she works as a manager and only receives compliments. Sleep is good. Dreams are occasionally, mostly pessimistic, something she doesn't have control over. Stress can disrupt me, she can't let it go, and there is also anger.
Analysis
What characteristics are there, that color her story, her life, and the circumstances? Unity, both of family and her household: Phase 1, compare this with the keywords of the acids, stage 1, also her liveliness fits into this. The new situation at home: Phase 1, gives tension with how it was going, Subphase 5. Important to her are: family, children, and partners: we know this from the Silicon series and corresponds to Silicon series, but we see also independence, leadership, and keeping things in one's own hands, we know this from the Gold series, which corresponds to Gold series. This together pleads for Gold series3, the Caryophyllidae. Confirmatory in this is the cozy chatting that is known from the Caryophylaceae, the characteristics of this plant family can be extrapolated to the entire Gold series3. The complaint about the intestines she has had before so does not have to be characteristic of the situation. Reaction to coffee is a keynote for Cactus grandiflores. By looking up this symptom in the repertory, keeping the 'story', the picture, or the 'matrix' in mind, you find a medicine that fits into the whole, you could say the totality. Anger, gas formation, and liveliness, fit within the concept of stage 15, compare Nitrogenium and Phosphor, which have the same characteristics in abstraction of stage 15. The prescription is Cactus grandiflores C200, placed at stage 1
follow up What she now notices is that she has lost the anger, she is no longer irritable and grumpy about what happens to her. That is a feeling she had become accustomed to. That's over now, that gives peace. She can now set herself better to do something, outside of work, previously: I just kept sitting, sometimes all day. Amazing, I feel calmer. This is a nicer state of being. The feeling of restlessness in the chest was no longer there. The next four months continue to go well, and flatulence disappears.
How the choice came about in this analysis: After the introduction, which is presented here in shortened form, I had no idea where to start, or how to analyze, interpreting often gives me tunnel vision. As long as it is not clear, it is better to continue listening, or what I did here in the mean time: look at a few repertory rubrics, or if there is a useful idea. A medicine that gives an association, makes a bell ring. This way you can select medicines that fit the 'matrix' of information. At the same time, you can make your picture concrete, which Clade, Phase, or stage is present or not present in the case.
A few rubrics that dealt with her complaints yielded nothing, in this example. In the coffee rubric, the eye fell on Cactus. It immediately became clear that the cozy introduction of the conversation, the spontaneous course, and the 'nonsense' of an intelligent and relevant woman meant: the characteristic of the Caryophylaceae, in Dutch 'homeliness', as these people call it themselves. This can be extrapolated - in abstract form - to the Caryophyllales, and also to the clade Caryophyllidae. Independence in thinking and living, tied to family or the small circle of people around them, Gold series3. The Portulacales are in stage 1, which immediately 'opened my eyes', it was so clear: new situation, the not yet accepted living environment. This is in contradiction with the balanced existence, remaining as a starting point, fitting with Phase 4. The reaction, the experience of inner peace, the disappearance of anger, better finding her way in the new situation, and also at her work, were things she had not discussed at the first consultation. These are beautiful examples of how it can go. The placement at stage 1 in the new version WP is not so clear here, the earlier publication mentioning stage 5 seems to fit better here, the 'doubt how'.
