BotanyLow branching evergreen tropical shrub; complexly branched multiple trunks; ± 5 metres tall; long thin branches eventually droop down onto the ground.
Leaves: close in the night; bipinnate; leaflets, divided into about six pairs.
Flowers: globose heads with small green petals; calyx with up to a 100 stamens, ± united into a tube; stamens numerous, colourful, long, hairlike, colourful, white towards the base and pink towards the top, protrude beyond the petals; appearance of a pink powder puff. and; flowers all year; short lived; sticky.
