English: Christmas Palm; Manila palm.
Region: Palawan, Danjugan Island, Sabah.

Botany: palm, fairly small, slender, 6 m high; fruits bright scarlet in winter. Taxonomy: many plams named Adonidia are similar Alexander palms
Use: ornamental; fruits as a substitute for the betel nut of Areca catechu.
