Case: A 62 year old woman comes with the diagnosis of rheumatism into practice. She has already a long time pains in the joints, an artificial knee joint, and both hips are severely damaged.
In 2003, 40 cm of intestine was removed because of an inflammation. Due to a Neuroma she was operated in 2007 on her foot. After that she received hepatitis and then Herpes zoster. In youth she had abscesses on both feet.

In 2010, her blood values showed that she has rheumatism. She can not walk well and barely lift her knees. Her hands are strongly deformed. The patient was treated with Cortisone and Ebetrexat (Rheumatoid Arthritis). She drop this medication because it did not help her at all and she was getting worse and worse, she had less and less energy, and has to lay most of the day. In the moment she only takes painkillers.

Her story: Until her fiftieth year, she was always healthy until her mother fell ill with Parkinson's disease. Her two stepsisters were of the opinion that she should take care of her. Also her stepfather said, "Oh Sonja, you can do that," and she wanted it herself, because „she is my mother“. To her stepsisters she did not dare to say no (can not say no = Phase 2, DD Beryllium), they are very dominant and always nasty to her, therefore she was afraid to say no. She would not been liked any more. She has been so afraid of the sisters that she did not dare to go alone out of the house anymore. (Phase 2, DD Calc.) The only one who supported her was her husband. (Support = phase 2) She has undertaken a family constellation (lanthanide aspect) on this topic and it came out that she only had to say no. (Phase 2)

Childhood: Immediately after her birth, she was given away from her mother to a foster mother. The foster mother did not like her. (Phase 6/7, a neglected child or a rejected child?) Her mother was in the poorhouse, her real father she had met him at the age of 13, and the contact tore off again at the age of 23. Stepfather: He had screamed a lot, he had to lead the farm and passed on his pressure of working hard also on her. (She had to adapt to his pressure = phase 2)

Through this upbringing her thought pattern originates: "Only when I am working hard I am good." Her stepfather later became also in the need of care, and this was just too much for her alone, but she gave in and has gone on with all her duties. (Adapting = Phase 2) She was always very fast and very good at working, she had worked for 5 men, but then she was not able anymore to go on and no one helped her when she needed help.

Because of her knees she could not walk any more, and in earlier times she used to run constantly. (Adjust Phase 2, so as not to be pushed out of the family, Silicon series = family; used, abused = Phase 6).
She took the care for her parents and has taken over the management of the farm, although she did not want to take over the farm, but her sisters didn’t like to do that, so it was again she who was in duty. She did not know how to manage all this together anymore, she had a breakdown. To consider all her helplessness in this situation was the worst. She has a large garden with a lot of different colorful flowers, and she loves plants. (Plant remedy)

The first number represents the Kingdom. Here in our case the plant kingdom, it corresponds to the number 3. The patient is lively very related, conjuncted or interwoven with her environment. She describes her problems very emotionally and not so much in facts (mineral kingdom). She loves her garden with the plants. Hierarchy is not a theme (animals).

The second number, the Phyla corresponds to the potential to be a human being, the quality of human beings for reflection. In our case, the patient has a problem within the family and its affiliation with the family. It is a human, not a primitive archaic problem from the time of the dinosaurs or before that. Angiospermae 600.00 ????

The third number, Series / Class represents the goal of life. This patient has the goal of being an independent person, not losing herself in the other. "I did not know who I am anymore." She tries to gain more awareness of her problem through the method of the family constellation and thus to gain freedom and autonomy. This is a quality of the Lanthanides and therefore the third number is also a 6, (6 correspond for a Lanthanide Quality) that means Asteranae 660.00

The fourth number, Series / Subclass, is what the patient really does on her way to the goal of her life, it is a refinement of the class. It corresponds to her profession. Her main occupation (here in her case she looks after her family, and this realm is also her central problem) indicates the Silicon series. The silicon series in the class of the Asteranae is represented by the subclass of Caryophylidae 663.00.

The fifth number shows the Phase. How is the situation for the patient, how is it actually, her real position. The patient has in her situation as a neglected child the feeling, that she has to adapt to keep her place in the family. She is the stepdaughter and has thus not the same value as her sisters. She feels inadequate, not as good as the rest of the family, that is why she feels that she has in general more to do, as the others. This indicates Subphase 2. The Subphase 2 in the Polygonales are the Frankeniaceae 663.62.00

The seventh number corresponds to the stage. This is how the patient actually acts in the situation, what she does. She wants to prove to the other family members that she is also of value for the family. This prove is done by working like 5 men and being fast in the way of doing things for the family. Questions we ask ourselves during the analysis:Is it a plant remedy from the class of the Lilianae 630.00 or a plant remedy from the subclass of the Caryophyllidae 663.00?

If a plant remedy from the subclass of Caryophyllidae 663 is considered, then a strong lanthanide quality 66 must be present.

In our case this quality is present: The patient can explain, why and how she behaves as she behaves. She is quite reflected, she is aware, where her problems come from and has already undertaken steps to gain more awareness, making a family constellation, by herself.

This indicates a plant remedy out of the class of Asteranae 660.00. There are themes of the Silicon Series which are indicating a plant remedy of the Caryophyllidae 663.00.

Prescription: Frankenia leavis C30 once a week.Later C200 every 3 weeks

Follow-upAfter six weeks, the patient reports that she can walk better and has more energy. Before Frankenia leavis she was very tired and had to sleep also in daytime.

As a reaction to the medicine, she had tremendous spasms in her legs for some days. Every time when she has taken the remedy she felt worse the first few days.

She has no need to take any painkillers. The knees are better, the sleep is better. She does not feel labile anymore and her feeling that she can’t cope with her life has disappeared. She had a dream of her rheumatologist, of whom she was so afraid, but in that dream she was no longer afraid of him.

After an other half year of treatment with Frankenia leavis her complaints are still improving. She now has fun in walking, is driving a bike half an hour and is running 20 minutes on exercise treadmill. Now she confidence in herself, before she was incredible about everything, was weepy and felt useless.

She can now say more easily no and has not the fears anymore, which made her so small.

Her quality of life has risen from 40% to 70%.
