A 6-year-old boy, blond, with long curls, with a referral from the school doctor, has already undergone several medical examinations. He often has 'accidents', either wetting the bed at night. He indicates that it is not fun, for the parents, it is not a problem. Furthermore, he is very prone to infections, just like his mother. He is often restless, and cannot sit still well. Quickly gets a high fever. From 1-3 years old, he had many urinary tract infections and received a lot of antibiotics, examination with a catheter showed a too-small bladder. Sleeps a lot after a bladder infection, can then be extremely tired, and continues sleeping. Mother also needs a long recovery time after a course of antibiotics. Before the bladder infections started, he was already toilet trained. He is restless when sleeping, often banging and moving a lot. Many wounds, in the nose, in the mouth, has a sore penis which is often red, rash in the groin.
The child sits quietly, as if it is not about him, and relaxes or patting with his feet on my shoes, mother talks fast. He doesn't complain quickly. He had headaches during the last 6 weeks, regularly, then sits with eyes closed, lies down on the ground, points to forehead.
Previously: urinary tract many courses, fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling urine, red glans penis.
During that period, he also had mononucleosis. Dream: he once dreamed of a zombie, after a visit to the medical center, screaming in bed, clinging to his mother. Also once of a werewolf.
Now at night: we can't wake him up to pee, also in the early part of the night.
During the day, small losses of urine, he is often too late for the toilet. He doesn't take the time to go. Regularly he has abdominal pain, after milk thin stool.
He likes to do what he wants. He is a social animal, busy, present, and the leader of the pack. Lots of questions, eager to learn. Says in between ‘my favorite animal is an elephant’.
He is also strong, perseveres, and can also fight with sisters. He invents something at once, and goes for it. He knows what he wants, just like his father. Says what he thinks, to everyone. Can give in to sleep wonderfully when he is tired.
Pregnancy: there were many complaints, infections, and headaches, just like with the first children (so it has to do with the mother, not with the child, new symptoms or complaints during pregnancy often has to do with the child). The delivery was also not pleasant. He is a wanderer, collector, building things, always busy, and cannot sit still well. Eager to learn, but if it doesn't interest him, he will make it clear.
Unaffected, not vulnerable, grumbling. Can also be very disappointed, if a friend drops out for example, 'that's not fair', then he is affected by his ego.
After Equisetum C200: two nights of peeing a lot, then much less for a week, after which it returns. A tooth came through, then the headache was gone. Still eats very poorly, incredibly slowly. He is disappointed that the peeing is returning, the urine often has a strong smell. After four months: during the day he no longer pees twice every hour, only twice a day, and also twice at night. Urine still has a strong smell. Easily startled. Eating well now. Sneezes a lot. Itchy anus. Itching and water warts in the popliteal fossa (indicates lymph node area burden, or problems in the pelvis). He speaks stuttering and is shy if you don't listen then. Mother is protective, and takes attention away. The child asks in between: is it about me?'. Enjoying, self-centered..
AnalysisThe complaints have decreased somewhat, but this is far from sufficient, moreover, the complaints still indicate a burden on the lymph nodes in the pelvis. There was improvement, but a part of the complaint remained. Equisetum fits with the problem of the kidneys, but can also clinically fit with the catheterization, and the damage caused by this, problems with kidney function, and restlessness remained. Mother's story completed the puzzle; there is always an overlap of the mother with the second child in terms of sensitivity and theme. With the help of the mother's story, a better-fitting medicine was found.
Used repertoire rubrics, ‘odor offensive’, and ‘sneezing frequently’, looking for a medicine that fits the themes, go through several rubrics with an eye for the theme is a grateful approach. Asparagus stood out.
Class 6 33:
Liliales, fitting with pelvis, in combination of restless and ‘head problems, his pain.
Phase 6: Excluded (mother's feeling, see following discussion), asking attention, inside problem, is characteristic. This brings us to the Aspergalis.
Phase 4: fits the father.
Asparagalis: key words are duty, service, introspective.
Stage 16 fits problems of the mother, his diarrhea (after milk), and symptoms beneath that came up after the reaction, see follow up.
Prescription:
Asparagus officinalis C200
Follow upAfter two weeks, he was dry at night for the first time, which continued in the years to come. He is now calmer. Still very spontaneous and present, 'boom', strikes easy, etc., a real boy.
Had a headache one more time with the flu. Had pimples with pus heads in the popliteal fossa (pus, stage 16 or
Phase 6), in the past, he had a lot of itching there. He has a tiny heart and a big mouth, but if his mother raises her voice exceptionally, he gets scared.
He seems sensitive to the idea that his mother is angry,
Phase 6.
DiscussionWith children, it is advisable and helpful to take the family situation as a theme, the feelings, the influences, and the emotions. After all, this belongs to the sphere of influence and the world of the child, and more than once it determines the choice of medicine. Always start from 'what is prominently present in the story', which themes are visible.
Mother's theme: abuse, they didn't see me. Grandpa does volunteer work for sad people. Indications for
Phase 6 and Asparagalis theme.
The child has a clearly defined little world, much in thought but also much reacting to the family, Class 3. For the mother, this also applies to the group at her work as a basis, previously family.
Subphase 4 fits with father: stable family.
Mother's case: she has many inflammations and gets blisters from drinking from a glass, pineapple causes pain in the mouth and throat. In the past, she had a fistula in the buttock crease, the scar is still painful. Quickly affected by smoke: eyes, nose, and lungs are immediately affected, days later still. Shortness of breath from many scents. As a child, she had bronchitis. Often pus infections. Years ago, she lost her voice for six months. Since the children, she has had vaginal yeast infections for 8 years. She refuses prednisone for the lungs. Can have an extremely high fever.
Work: leading, not so much being the boss, her principle is 'everyone is equal', but she also does things herself. It is a challenge to solve things, she likes to grab something new, go for it wholeheartedly, she never sits still. She is waiting, trusting others. "Listen, I am always a personal coach for someone".
Her school days: "I am sometimes too nice, they take advantage of me, afterwards they don't see you". Can see everything very black. She didn't like going to school, was insecure, and had a fear of failure. Hard work, because of dyslexia, it cost me a lot. I didn't understand what I was reading, I can still reverse numbers. Now I am still insecure when they compliment me.
Dreams in the past: scary, men visiting, a shadow of a man with a tall hat on, he came in. She doesn't drink alcohol because she wants to keep control of herself.
As a child: my father was often away and did volunteer work, mother had to do everything alone.
She received Neodimium muriaticum C200 (based on the themes and characteristics of
Lanthanides: allergic, alone, control, refusing medicine, dyslexia, and not seeking authority. Failure, challenges, fitting with
Stage 6 and
Neodymium, the Muriatium salt fits with pregnancy (ailments since), care, and being a personal coach for everyone).
After this prescription, single dose as I always do, all complaints quickly disappeared, with strong odors she can still feel a tingling sensation sometimes. The feelings of 'being on the outside' and 'being abused' are used to justify the choice of Asparagus. It is in my opinion a good sign when a slight trace of the complaint is still there, as in this two cases, is means the ‘system’ has still the same outlet of the stress, stress can be better prevented or processed, and there is not a suppression to an other level.
