2.1.2 Element theoryIntroductionThe
Element theory is described in my book
Homeopathy and the Elements. It gives a description of the effects of the
Elements of the
Periodic system on living creatures, both physically and emotionally. The description is based on the rows and columns of the
Periodic system. The rows in the
Periodic system are described as
Series, going from row 1, called the
Hydrogen series, to row 7, the
Uranium series. The rows represent the basic fields in life. The columns of the
Periodic system are described as
Stages. They are stages in a a development, from birth to death, from increase to decrease and from trial to resignation.
Series WhereThe
Series, the rows of the
Periodic system, describe the various fields in the world. They are the different levels of experience like love and hate, or work and duty or art and science. They are levels of experien-
76cing oneself in relation to the world. They are the fields one can identify with in life.
The
Series can be found by answering the question where the problem is, where it has risen. They can be described by what someone needs, what their desire or ambition is.
Further descriptions of the
Series can be found in the Appendix 3 “
Series”.
Stages WhatThe
Stages, the columns of the
Periodic system, describe the various ways of handling a desire, problem or theme. They describe if one is unsure or sure, passive or active, successful or unsuccessful, courageous or cowardly, hard working or lazy, impulsive or thoughtful and so on.
The Stage can be found by answering the question ‘what is going on’, how someone is acting, how one is handling the problem or need. Further descriptions of the
Stages can be found in the Appendix 4 “
Stages”.
Salt WhenBy combining the
Series and the Stage one finds the specific element of the
Periodic system. Most chemicals in the Mineral kingdom though are combinations, compounds. They are combinations of 2 elements, often even 3 or more. The second element is often an anion, usually elements on the right side of the upper
Series.
The anion element, which combined with the kation element forms a salt, can be found by answering the question ‘when’. What influences the above state, what makes it easier or more difficult.
In principle the anion also represents a
Series and a Stage. But it is less pronounced than the
Series and a Stage of the cation, which is usually a metal.
ExampleA young woman has asthma. She works under a lot of pressure to perform as an actor. Her mother increases the pressure by expecting her to become successful.
The working under pressure is what happens: the “what”, pointing to a Stage. In this case it is
Stage 8, acting under strong pressure.
Where this happens is in her profession of being an actress. This is the
Silver series, with the themes of art, creativity and becoming famous.
Stage 8 in the
Silver series is
Ruthenium.
When does it happen? When the mother is putting pressure on her. The mother theme is connected to
Chlorum, also named muriaticum. The prescription therefore is
Ruthenium muriaticum, which allows the asthma to disappear.
