TaxonomyIn the Apg3 classification Resedaceae is a family in the Order Brassicales. Resedaceae are closely related to Gyrostemonaceae and to a lesser extent Tovariaceae and Pentadiplandraceae.
Resedaceae: Caylusea, Ochradenus, Oligomeris, Randonia, Reseda, Sesamoides.
Gyrostemonaceae: Codonocarpus, Cypselocarpus, Didymotheca, Tersonia, Walteranthus.
Tovariaceae: Tovaria.
Pentadiplandraceae: Pentadiplandra.
In the Plant theory Resedacae is treated in the same way and placed in Subphase 3. Gyrostemonaceae, Tovariaceae and Pentadiplandraceae are taken together with Resedaceae.
