Lythrum salicaria
3-654.11.06654.11.06 Lythrum salicaria, CaseWoman, 50, knee pain.
She has knee pains which confronts her with the finiteness of life, death. She feels powerless.
She has panic attacks from trifles, from not being able to support herself financially. She hates to be forced to participate in society. She has strong views about how the world should be, is very interested in alternative ways of living and societies, is interested in the Indians, the native people of South America.
She has fibromas in her uterus and that feels horrible as they just do their own thing and do not listen to her.
Relationships with men have been problematic. At 12 she was raped by a family member who threatened her if she thought of talking about it. She lies stiffly in her bed, weeping without tears. In puberty she got into a relationship with a boy with a similar sexual experience, weeping silently, alone.
Her first marriage was to a schizophrenic man who beat her and lied to her. After she had her daughter she divorced. Later she had a relationship with a nice man, an artist but he had many relationships on the side with other women. Due to these experiences and especially the rape she feels blighted very deeply in her femininity, like a canker.
She lives in a cocoon, as if imprisoned and invisible. She feels excluded, as if she let herself be excluded and beaten to death. She has problems expressing herself, often holds her hand before her mouth. She has a tendency to withdraw into her own world and house. She feels special, a pioneer, a trend-setter but is not valued.
She is a journalist, trying to prove herself as such.AnalysisSIlver series: special; journalist; artist.
Phase 1, Subphase 1: pioneer, a forerunner; silently, alone; excluded.
Lythraceae: cankered very deeply in her femininity.
Stage 6: prove.Follow upThe evening after Lythrum salicornia MK she is in panic with cramping in her heart. The next day she remembers the rape in detail and realises the impact of it on her. The second day she gets all memories back from her first marriage, they last the whole day. In the evening she feels very weepy, in connection with her latest relationship. Then she realises it has been enough; she does not want to stay in her cocoon. The next morning she rises liberated. It is an enormous relief, as if she left her prison, cage. She has decided to be in the now and speak out. She starts taking the initiative to do things in the world. She reconciles with her family members.
