English: Night-blooming cereus, Large-flowered Torch Thistle.
Botany: big flower blossoms in one night; in the morning, only remnants of its beauty are left; it does not get involved in the reproductive process of the plant: this is done through a huge complicated process.
Culture: wants its flower to be its masterpiece but dawn reveals that it is only born of darkness, that it is sterile, not holding any truth.
