664.63.10 Rhododendron chrysanthemum, Case
Woman, 50, rheumatism.
She comes with rheumatic pains. her hands are mostly afflicted with shooting pains, pains after exertion such as turning the hands to open a bottle. The pains are often in the metacarpal and first interphalangeal joints but the rheumatologist says that it is not a joint problem but one of tendons and muscles. The pains are located at times in the inner sides of the arms, hips and chest. The pains wake her up at night sometimes and she feels stiff on rising in the morning. It is all worse from cold and better from warmth. She has premonitions rain and before a storm the complaints are the worst. A cold wind hurts: even respiration is painful then as if there is a band around her chest. She has a shawl on her mouth with wind. Motion helps.
In the past she has had migraines, once a month. It starts with a loss of parts of her field of vision. The pains rise from the cervical region to the vertex, with the feeling of a stone, a heavy head that is difficult to hold upright. It is better from rubbing the neck.
She has arthritis of her hands, her metacarpal and distal interphalangeal joints, worse exertion, cold, storm, before storm and rain, wind, rain, night, better warmth; stiff in the morning. She has pains in her hips better with motion.
She has palpitations with a feeling of a band around her chest, pain, constriction, < cold wind, > shawl over mouth.
She has her own business as a seamstress but it was too much, she wanted too much. So she stopped and worked for someone else for a while.
Weather: chilly, hot feet, < storm !!, < rain !.
Time: < 5 am.
Desire: sweet, milk, fruit.
Aversion: fat, fat meat, liver.
Female: menses premenstrual irritation, abdominal cramp and pain in her breasts.
Analysis
Lanthanides: own’s business.
Iron series: seamstress.
Phase 6: give up her business.
Rhododendron: < wet, < storm.
Follow up
After Rhododendron MK she starts feeling better. After a month she is more at ease and is caring for herself better. The complaints are a little better. Three months later she is really doing very well, feels young again. She works fully. She has no migraine or arthritis anymore. She has cracks on her heels instead and a fungal infection in her groin.
She developed an old sciatica with pain in her left leg, a heavy and pinched feeling.
