TaxonomyThe Subclass of Lamiidae is the biggest of all Subclasses. In the Apg3 classification it contains the Orders Garryales, Gentianales, Boraginales, Lamiales and Solanales.
In the Plant theory the Cornales have been added and fused with Garryales, Rubiaceae has been split off from Gentianales to form its own Order Rubiales and Lamiales has been split in Lamiales and Verbenales.
