Habitat: invade fallow land; not adapted to acid soils; reasonably shade tolerant.
BotanyPerennial trailing and climbing herb; annual, vigorous stems growing up from a woody base, scramble over the ground or twine up into other plants for support.
Use: plant for green manure; ground cover in plantations of cocoa, rubber, coconut and oil palm; leaves, cooked as vegetable.
