Dyscotic co, = Shigella dysenteriaeNigel is 7 years old when he came for a consultation about skin complaints three months ago. In the past he has reacted very well to
Coccus cacti with chronic cough complaints. According to Hering's law, it is predictable that skin complaints will appear years later. The skin is often red and blotchy on his chest, neck and face. He has itching everywhere, even in places without a rash. He is also not well in his skin, he is in the last months of school of group 4. He is insecure and compares a lot with other children. Often says he is stupid. Sometimes he suffers from abdominal pain and growing pains in the legs. He loves swimming, wants to go swimming competitions and water polo. He is very precise, just like his father. Lots of trouble with new unfamiliar situations.
AnalysisAt first sight a lot of indications for
Calcium phosphoricum, but I decided to use an intestinal nosode, in this case Dys-co. Nigel has had regular antibiotics in the past because of the respiratory tract infections, this in itself is an indication for a gut nosode. Huib Wijtenburg alerted me a while ago to the intestinal nosode Morgan pure as an important remedy for baby eczema.
Louis Klein describes the following mind symptoms at Dyscotic co:
- anticipation
- apprehension
- conscientious
- feeling can't finish, accomplish enough
These symptoms fit Nigel. I prescribe him Dyscotic co C30, 2 granules a month.
Follow upI saw him last week, after 3 months. He's in 5th grade now, he's much less insecure at school. His skin complaints have almost disappeared except for a small spot on his right nostril. He also looks more relaxed. Louis Klein puts Dyscotic co on stage 9: "I just can't do it". I regularly see children with PDD-nos, who also show a lot of anticipation and have a lot of trouble with new situations. Possibly Dyscotic co is an important nosode in these children as part of the homeopathic treatment.
