TaxonomyPelargonium nervifolium belongs to the Subgenus Pelargonium hoarea part 2, (Sweet) DC.
BotanyPelargonium hoarea is named after Sir Richard Colt Hoare. Stemless perennials with 1(-3) tuber, usually turnip-shaped, stems never succulent, very short, with persistent stipules and/or petioles. Never annuals or short-lived perennials. Laminas rarely glaucous. Flowers with usually 5 petals, never regular, with (2-)5 fertile stamens. Hypanthium always longer than pedicel, the flowers sometimes appearing sessile. Including the former section Seymouria (Sweet) Harv. with two petals only.
