Introduction
Their feeling is being handed over, turned over, extradited. They feel powerless and helpless, at the mercy of powerful people.
The theme is that of being given away, not valued. They feel that there must be something wrong with them that they are not taken care of and that their parents have given them away. They get adopted by other parents but then also can have the feeling they are not good enough. The feeling of being maltreated can also arise later in life when they are treated unjustly, like being fired after giving a lot to the company, being slandered by neighbours, getting robbed.
It can also be for parents who do not have enough resources to take care of their children. They lack money, a job, a good house or enough food. They can even work hard and still not earn enough to take care of their children.
Oxalis acetosella is named cuckoo herb in Dutch. The cuckoo leaves his eggs in the nest of other birds, as orphans. The cuckoo young is mostly much bigger than the other young birds. It needs all the attention of his foster parents and has to throw his siblings out of the nest to get enough food from the foster parents, who are kept very busy to feed him. All these qualities are aspects of oxalic acid and the Oxalidales.
