2.6.3 Stage 3: Lanthanum
Heracles searches for a solution and asks Apollo for advice. Apollo sends him to the oracle at Delphi to ask how his guilt can be assuaged. The Pythia says he has to perform 10 labors in order to release his guilt and become immortal. The weak Eurystheus will give him the tasks. Heracles is full of mortification that he, the strong and mighty one, has to obey the weak, frail and fearful Eurystheus, but there’s no other choice.
Stage 3: the searching is typical of Stage 3. Heracles doesn't know what to do and tries (Stage 3) to find that out.
