6.7 Rhenium, Case 1A 30 year old woman has severe eczema. The skin is very red, especially in her face and everybody remarks on it. Her neck and face are affected, between her eyes on her upper lip. The face is red and swollen and the skin is thin and full of cracks, exuding a sticky, watery fluid. It is worse in the morning and when she feels tense. It started when she was 21.
It became much worse when she working at the reception of a very large hotel/ restaurant. She liked being in charge, but she did feel the need to be able to ask for advice here and there. She would have liked to be in volved in some kind of team work. She wanted people to explain to her how things were done in the business and why. But she got no back up at all and was left to her own devices. She also had to ‘keep a straight face’ at all times because the ’client was always in the right’.
GeneralsWeather: cold, -> wind, <- draught (2), -> outside, > sea (!), > sun.
Perspiration: arms.
Time: < 6-7 pm.
Desires: fruit (3), orange, pear, sweet (2), chips (2).
Aversion: fat, slimy food, oysters.
Food: < wine.
menses: back ache during the first day.

Gold series. She likes to take the lead, but she appreciates some feedback and support. This indicates stage 7, the ‘practising’ stage, which is
Rhenium.
Rhenium is only a layer in this case. She needed
Calcium silicatum and
Barium fluoratum to clear the eczema completely.
ReactionA few days after
Rhenium the eczema starts to get worse, which lasts for about ten days. After that it start to clear up and two months later it is 50% better. The problem about taking charge has resolved itself, it isn’t an issue that concerns her anymore.
