Names: Indonesian, melinjo or belinjo; Malay, bago; Aceh: muling; peesae; Kwara'ae, dae; Thai, phakmiang; Vietnamese, bét, rau bép, rau danh, gam; padi oats; paddy oats.
Use: food, sour vegetables soup; flour and deep-fried as crackers, emping; vegetable curry called kuah pliek.
Content: stilbenoid of resveratrol; stilbene oligomers, gnemonol, ampelopsin, cis-ampelopsin, gnetin.
Body
General: antioxidant.
