Cuscutaceae is not a separate Family in the Apg3 classification but included in Convolvulaceae.
In the Plant theory Cuscutaceae is treated as a separate Family. It is placed in Subphase 7, being parasitic.

Introduction
There is a strong theme of bad and dark, the shadow of the soul. It is expressed in the names of these plants referring to devils, hell and witches. There is also the opposite; light and heaven expressed in the names like angel, light and gold.
They have to hang onto other people, are unable to stand up for themselves. They depend on others in a demanding and taking way, strangling the other. They not only use the other, but have a tendency to take everything.
