Introduction
The placement of Berberidopsidales has been quite problematic. This name is new, only recognised in the Apg3 classification. Berberidopsidales is a close ally of Caryophyllales. The Apg2 classification left the members unplaced as to order, assigning them to the core eudicots.
The Order Berberidopsidales has 2 families: Berberidopsidaceae and Aextoxicaceae.
In the Plant system they are tentatively placed as Subclass 1 of the Asteranae.
Families
Aextoxicaceae: 1 genus and 1 species: Aextoxicon punctatum.
Berberidopsidaceae: Berberidopsis, 2 species, Streptothamnus, 1 species; often treated as belonging to Flacourtiaceae.
Introduction
The members of the Berberidopsidales are unknown in homeopathy.
The theme is that they want to become independent but have no clue how to do that. They do not know how to achieve autonomy and can only experience passively what goes on.
