Elaphoglossoideae is a subfamily in
Dryopteridaceae, in the Subclass Polypodiineae. The small families
Hypodematiaceae and
Didymochlaenaceae are close to
Dryopteridaceae and also placed in the subclass Polypodiineae.
Hypodematiaceae was erected by Ren-Chang Ching in 1975. Mostly the genera Hypodematium, Leucostegia and Didymochlaena were provisionally assigned to
Dryopteridaceae.
