Members: 1 order Aspleniales; 10 families: Aspleniaceae, Athyriaceae, Blechnaceae, Cystopteridaceae, Diplaziopsidaceae, Hemidictyaceae, Onocleaceae, Rhachidosoraceae, Thelypteridaceae, Woodsiaceae.
Habitat: terrestrial, epiphytic, and lithophytic.
TaxonomyIn the classification of the PPG Aspleniidae is a monophylitic clade, in the Eupolypods.
Plant theoryIn the Plant theory the Aspleniidae are treated similarly to PPG1.
Aspleniales is the only order in the subclass Aspleniidae.
