644.52.08 Polygala senega, CaseWoman, 70, bronchitis.
She is wheezing and has a cough from constant irritation, she cannot clear the mucus out of her bronchi and has a tight feeling in her upper middle chest. The complaints are not affected by the weather or the time of the day, coughing does not help to clear her throat. She has complaints already for five years. It started from the stress of doing a household for five people. Her daughter with her two teenage children came to live in her house and she had to tidy up the house for them. They used her car so she had to walk more.
Her daughter was angry at her because she was giving more attention to her husband. She was also angry because she felt her brother had left her to go abroad. This behaviour of her daughter worried her very much; she felt accused of doing nothing for her daughter, whereas she had taken care of her grandchildren for 15 years. She shut down and could not talk with her anymore.
She has arthritis of her right digital finger and wrist, a twinging feeling sometimes. As a child she had whooping cough and at 18 she had measles, chickenpox and mumps. She has once broken a few ribs when a dog pulled her to the ground.
She would like to have a big house that would please everyone and everything. She likes music, playing the violin, which absorbs her. She likes to travel, to see wildlife in the countryside. She likes to read biographies and novels and serious books like philosophy. She has an aversion to cities like London, the noise of people and crowds.
