Case: woman, 44, throat infections.
Her throat is her weak point, already as a child. It feels rough and harsh, and produces much thick mucous in throat. She has recurrent tonsillitis without fever, but with pain, even after her tonsils were removed as a teenager. Her voice is regularly lost. She has frequent otitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, with enlarged lymph glands. That goes together with headache above her right eye extending to the top of her head, and right eye. the pains are sore and pulsating, and are worse from motion, bending her head, and getting up from a chair.
She has obesity, with a weight of 120 kilo. She gained weight after immigrating to Holland, for financial reasons. At first she had a job in supermarket, which she liked. When she lost her job she felt alone, without contacts. It was a hard, strange and bizarre time, because the life, weather and temperature were so different from her home country. But she got used to Holland and misses it when visiting her home country.

Her mother was a mother hen, overprotective. When they played hide and seek in the garden, her mother shouted at her: “You don’t show me respect". She felt unloved as a child, being low in the hierarchy of the family. She felt better at school than at home. She started fights with her mother in puberty. It was a love hate relationship. Her mother would not let her go out, put her down, called her a whore. It was a fight between protection and freedom. Her puberty felt as a lost time, no proper exposure to the world. She felt locked in at home, and had a lot of grief. Also her grandmother was terrible. She was dictatorial, yelling at her with a terrible voice, and gossiping about her and judging her for what she could have done. She could not say a word, but she was not a bad child.
She has not much contact with her father. Her parents separated when she was 8, but her father still lived in same house. She felt unloved and didn’t want to exist anymore. Shy, introvert. Her Her younger sister was better treated by mother. Another sister died a few days after birth.
There was a lot of stress and fighting at home when she met her husband. Her parents, especially her mothers her, didn’t accept her partner. His family not good enough, they drank. He didn’t earn enough. Her friend was seen as a loser. He became her husband, but is quite autistic, and drinks a lot of alcohol. She asks herself why she married him and if she loves him. She married perhaps an escape from her mother, her house.
She did not think of getting children for a while, but when she got the idea for it, she could not easily get pregnant. First she had three miscarriages. Her fourth pregnancy was difficult with diabetes, haemorrhages, protein in her urine, hypertension and pre-ecclampsy. She feared a miscarriage again. The labour was induced 2 weeks before time because of the pre-ecclampsy. The labour was painful, uncomfortable as she had to lie down, and lasted long. Her son turned out to be autistic son, but she is very attached to him, even when he was malicious. As a baby he was not drinking well.
She was a timid, shy child. She felt easily overwhelmed. She still is easily anxious and has fears of diseases, especially cancer. She has worries about her son. She does not have the courage to control him as that can easily make him more angry and malicious.
She has a metabolic syndrome with hypertension, insulin resistant diabetes, treated with metformine.
She probably has uterus myomas.

She has arthritis of her hip and knees with burning pain. A diagnosis of indicating sclerodermia or rheumatoid arthritis was considered , but that could not be confirmed.
She loses hair, diagnosed as androgenital baldness. It is a big grief, which it feels terrible, unbearable. Psychological help did not give her any support.
She has cystitis, stress, vaginal bleeding.
Desires fruit, diary, strong desire for sweets.
Aversion: vegetables.

After Diphylleia cymosa she was less anxious, got a reduction in weight, less desire for sweets and her menorrhaghia diminished. But after repetitions of Diphylleia cymosa the positive effect faded away.
