2.7.3 Stage 3, Lanthanum: the LaestrygonesOdysseus and his men leave the island of Aeolos. They row for 7 days and reach the land of the giant Laestrygones. The Laestrygones throw rocks and destroy 11 out of the 12 ships. The Laestrygones skewer the sailors of those ships and feed them to the fish. Only the ship of Odysseus escapes as he anchored offshore.
Odysseus and his man cannot even come ashore. Lanthanum has the same quality, it cannot even decide what to do. This leads to many mistakes in choices, leading to nothing. This is symbolized with the loss of 11 out of the 12 ships. In Scandium, Stage 3 of the Iron series, we see this as 12 jobs, 13 accidents.
