For about 10 years he has had a stitching, sore pain in his right eye, worse from light, worse from lack of sleep, worse from drugs like marijuana and ecstasy, better from a good sleep. It’s better since he started a diet without pork, organ meat and red wine. It was worse when he was unhappy in his relationship with his girlfriend. His conjunctiva is red. His eyelid trembles.

He’s always been timid and anxious. He is a loner and finds it difficult to make contact. As a child he was often alone because he was a foreigner, a boy with Indonesian parents. He has a fear he won’t be able to say anything interesting. In his twenties he went to parties to make contact with people, but he stopped after his psychosis, seeing that he only made superficial contacts that way. He does not trust people very easily. He wants relationships with friends to be on an equal basis. He feels better in one-to-one relationships than in big groups. Food has often been a problem, a means of control. Until the age of 11 he was quite obese. It made him feel different and unattractive to others, especially girls. At the age of 11 he started dieting, rigorously, till he was thin. He could feel guilty when cheating on his diet. That conflicted with his feeling of honesty, as “things have to be right”.
He started his own clinic for holistic massage therapy. He is very interested in people and wants to do something real for his patients, so that they experience a real change. It’s very important to do essential things. But few patients come owing to his difficulty in making contact. He can’t believe fully in his clinic out of fear of being disappointed. His doubts cause a restless feeling in his abdomen.
His father was in a concentration camp. He was always very critical about sport and school results. He has the perfectionism and critical attitude of his father. His mother was anxious and protective, wanting to play safe. That made him avoid “irresponsible” choices. But when she wanted him to work for money after high school, he went his own way and started studying. He was irritated by the over-protective attitude of his mother. He felt an adult, not a person doing weird things.
He likes Indonesia very much and feels very much at home with the country and his family.
