Name: Kerrawang.
Name: Greek dasys means hairy and phyllon means leaf.
Region: eastern Australia.

Botany
Shrub; 1 to 4 metres tall; killed by bushfire; regenerates from seed.
Leaves: dark green; lanceolate to obovate; with dentate or lobed margins; prominently wrinkled; 3 to 7 cmlong and 1 to 3 cm wide; covered by cottonlike hairs.
Stem: covered in fine hairs.
flowers: small; white or rarely pale pink; blooming from September to January; ± 1 cm in diameter.
Fruit: hairy brown capsules.
Pollination by flies; native bees, beetles, diurnal moths.
