Boletales but gilled.
Type: it weathers the humus layer of forest soil, and influences the solubility and turnover of nutrients, particularly phosphorus and nitrogen.
Cap: yellow–orange; funnel-shaped; 8 cm diameter, with felt-like surface.
Hymenium: gills thin, often forked; run partway down the length of the otherwise smooth stipe.
