TaxonomyThe Aristolochiales are included in the Piperales in the Apg3 classification.
In the Plant theory the Aristolochiales are split off from Piperales and placed in Phase 7 of the Magnoliidae. Splitting does not affect the monophyly of both clades. There are two families in Aristolochiales, the Aristolochiaceae and Lactoridaceae.
Families and genera.Aristolochiaceae: Aristolochia, Asarum, Euglypha, Heterotropa, Pararistolochia, Saruma, Thottea.
Lactoridaceae: Lactoris; unknown in homeopathy.
