Introduction
The placenta is the connection between mother and child where metabolic products like food, oxygen and toxic and waste materials are exchanged between mother ad child. The placenta is part of the child. In the placenta are produced progesteron and HCG, Humane Chorion Gonadotropin, which are necessary to maintain the pregnancy.
