Taxonomy
In the Apg2 and Apg3 classification Phytolaccaceae is placed in the Order Caryophyllales. It forms a suborder together with Aizoaceae, Achatocarpaceae, Barbeuiaceae, Lophiocarpaceae, Darcobataceae, Nyctaginaceae and Stegnospermataceae. Several subfamilies have been split off from Phytolaccaceae to form new families like Achatocarpaceae, Barbeuiaceae, Gisekiaceae, Gyrostemonaceae, Lophiocarpaceae, Microteaceae and Stegnospermataceae.
In the Plant theory Phytolaccaceae is in the Aizoales Order and placed in Subphase 4.
Introduction
Phytolacca is the only member of this family known in homeopathy. They have a tendency to adapt completely, Phase 2, in order to establish a strong, Phase 4, family, Silicon series.
Mind
Eyes: irritation; inflammation eyelids.
Nose: sneezing.
Mouth: burning.
Rectum: haemorrhoids.
Skin: inflammation, heat, burning, smarting; eschar.
