A 58-year-old woman with hay fever. She looks and listens attentively; she is animated, with an open expression and posture; she leans forward on the desk; her voice is very clear. She has had hay fever for years, especially from trees. She has a watery nasal discharge, speaks nasally, and her eyes itch, when touched or rubbed it aggravates. She uses levocetirizine. She has slept poorly every night since menopause; she wakes up after two hours of sleep and often at 4:30 a.m., and she doesn’t feel rested after sleeping. Morning yoga helps her feel better. In the evening, she is tired and feels the need to lie down with her eyes closed. She has trouble digesting cheese and sweets, and she has an aversion to milk. She dreams a lot and has ‘strange’ dreams about people she knows from work. She works in elder care; by change she saw a job opening, and the target demographic appealed to her. After school she completed a study in tourism, which she had also chosen quite spontaneously. She started this job because she wanted to be financially independent; she got divorced a few years ago.
