TaxonomyDidiereaceae is a Family in Portulacales. Traditionally it consisted only of the Didiereoideae, cactus like plants in the southwest of Madagascar. Recent phylogenetic studies showed the close relationship to Portulacaria afra and Ceraria. They are now included in Didiereaceae
