Sense proving on 26 July 2025, Britta Dähnrich
ProvingAs I lean against the tree in Sequoia Park, I feel a loving sense of security and lightness, a maternal and positive energy. I could have stood there for hours. I feel protected.
Now I have the leaves/needles in my hand, and here too there is a beautiful lightness and accessibility to be felt. It is as if the tree embraces everything and takes everything into its arms, generously, lightly, lovingly.
It feels as if this tree has a truly great healing energy, as if really deep old wounds could be healed.
A woman who is broken by a difficult fate and yet still goes on. It is wartime and she has experienced everything: her children have died, her husband is no longer there, she is alone and has to fight her way through life. There is a great deal of sadness and pain, but also: I am going through this.
Grief that has been locked away for a long time comes back up and now it can be healed.
Sequoia calms me down so that everything recedes and is no longer important – I fall asleep briefly. When I wake up, Sequoia says: it's funny what you worry about – none of it is important.
It helps me to refocus and get back to what is essential. My vegetative system can calm down.
In the forest in an earth cave
I embrace everything: feeling inadequate, feeling small and insignificant, feeling ugly and crippled. I am always there for you and accompany you in everything that worries and hurts you.
Sequoia seems to be a companion in crises and transitions.
Physically:
An open, sore feeling in the solar plexus, as if it were too open.
Like a matte screen on the forehead.
Headaches, in the eyes, like with a flu-like infection.
Aching limbs, sore throat.
