English: Rufous stonecrop; Cape crassula; Spreading crassula.
Synonym: Tillaea trichotoma; Bulliarda trichotoma.
Region: southern parts of Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand.
Habitat: on dune slopes, clay-loam-sand soils.
BotanyHerb; annual; 15 cm tall.
Stem: decumbent, or erect branches.
Leaves: acute; linear-lanceolate to oblanceolate; 2 to 9 mm long, 0.4 to 1.5 mm wide.
Flowers: axillary; four merous; pedicels longer than sepals in fruiting material; flower base is connate with a hooded apex; cream-white-pink; blooming July to October.
Calyx: sepals erect, lanceolate, obtuse apex.
Corolla: petals striate, brown, shorter than the sepals.
Androecium: stamens with anthers have an ovoid shape.
Seeds: yellow; cylindrical-ovoid.
