BotanySmall, evergreen tree; thin, open, spreading crown; 4 - 7.5 metres, to 25 m tall; spreading crown.
Stem: 15cm in diameter.
Leaves: opposite; pinnate, toothed margins, 40 cm long; leaflets 5 to 11, elliptical to oblong, have rounded bases and acuminate tips, 15 cm long, 6 cm wide, underside of the leaflets are clad in short, velvety, rusty coloured hairs; foliage often has a reddish tinge.
Inflorescence: panicles clad in short hairs.
Flowers: dioecious; very small; flowering April to August.
Fruits: June to October.
