Case by Jan Scholten.
Case: little boy, 7, autism. His speech is delayed, and he has echolalia. He understands some, but not all questions, but he does not react to them. He can write the letters of the alphabet and can count to 10. He knows the names of colours, animals and fruits. He does not understand board games.
The autism started after the vaccinations of BCG and DKTP. It pulled the trigger, took the life out of him and he became absent, tense and rigid. A big, red boil arose on the spot of the injection and discharged pus.
He is at a pre-school, which he likes. He is liked by his classmates, but he does not really make contact and does not answer their questions. He is not easily accepted, only by some boys. He lives in his own world and makes no eye contact. On the other hand he is very open, has no barriers. He looks happy all the time, smiling a lot. He is an adorable child, very generous, caring, and nice. Everyone likes him because he is never aggressive or violent. He only screams and cries when his parents forbid him what he wants. But that is quickly over and afterwards he is nice, comforting and hugging. He has no need to fight, or to win. He is easy with sharing toys and other things.
He has deep connections to his family, his parents and grandparents. He likes to cuddle them and to kiss his mother. He has a great contact with his father. His older sister does not like him, as she is jealous of the attention he gets. He is disobedient, just goes his own way.
He is very restless, hyperactive, moving all the time. He is just running around in circles. He likes being outdoors, at the playground. He is always playing, having fun and laughing. He can laugh strangely, like a donkey. His mother says he has an animal energy.
When he wants to play with something he doesn’t ask, just takes it. He doesn’t see danger, climbs in the highest trees and swims to the middle of the water. He likes to be chased. He hates haircuts, and being touched on his head.
He has an aversion to the sound of ambulances and fire brigades, then covers his ears. He is chaotic, impatient, and impulsive. He likes to build a pile of pillows and sit under them like a beaver. He likes water, bathing, rivers. He likes to be naked.
His pregnancy was normal. His birth was a Caesarian section. He cried a lot as a baby.
In the past he had runny stools.
Sleep: falling asleep is difficult, his mother has to be with him. At night he gets out of bed to sleep with his parents.
